There is a one-way valve at the pressure measurement port on one of the furnaces. Since the temperature inside the furnace is over 1000 degrees, should the design temperature of this one-way valve take this temperature into account? Also, if such high temperatures are encountered in the pipeline, must it be higher than the pipeline’s design temperature?
According to the standards for pipelines, the design temperature and design pressure of valves must be higher than those of the pipeline. When the temperature of the medium inside the pipeline reaches 800 or 900 degrees Celsius, it becomes very difficult to find suitable valves. Additionally, in devices such as furnaces, where the temperature is extremely high, it’s impossible to select valves that are appropriate for such high temperatures. Is there any expert who can help explain this? I would be extremely grateful
The backflow prevention has been implemented; does that mean the design temperature of the valve can be reduced after implementing backflow prevention?
Isn’t there a pressure tapping short tube? Lead the pressure tapping point out and provide proper insulation, and that should solve the problem
And which pressure measurement points do you want to take?
If the pressure is not high and the sealing requirements are moderate, the valve can be lined with refractory material. Valves can handle temperatures of up to 1400°C without any problem.
What is the minimum size of a valve with refractory lining?

Most valves with high-temperature linings are butterfly valves or gate valves. Whether the valve is expensive or not depends on your operating conditions, such as the frequency of opening and closing, the system pressure, and the requirements regarding the valve’s sealing performance.
Mine is a root valve for the instrument; the diameter is very small, 1/2 inch is sufficient. What type of valve should be used for this?
