I would like to ask the experts: during safety inspections, it is required to regularly monitor the dynamic and static sealing points of pipelines for liquefied hydrocarbons and high-temperature oils, as well as pumps and other equipment. How is this thing made? What should be documented in daily life? Our company currently uses 145-degree heat transfer oil for drying materials, and we inspect the pipes and valves as well as replace the gaskets on an annual basis. The inspection team asked us to carry out regular leakage monitoring of both dynamic and static seals; we’re not sure how to do this. The experts said that conducting a gas-tightness test on the pipes would suffice, but what about the mechanical seals of the pumps? I don’t think what the experts said is quite correct; I hope everyone can come up with a more reasonable way for keeping records and monitoring.
Testing methods: 1. Visual inspection – checking for leaks in the liquid, smelling it, using soapy water for inspection, etc; 2. Instrument detection: If VOCs detection is used
