How do I know how many pounds of shims to use at what pressure? For example: if the operating pressure, after applying a factor of 1.25/1.5, is 2 MpaG, what size gasket should be used? 150LB？ 300LB？
Is it a pipe flange or a vessel flange?
Two suggestions: 1. As the person in charge of the project construction, strictly follow the pipeline design manual for project construction； 2. Refer to the pipeline flange standards; national standards cover both European and American standards, and the choice can be made based on temperature and pressure requirements.
