(hereinafter referred to as “Henggang”) ordered two advanced SDM (hard disc sawing) production lines from Danelli to support the construction of the world’s largest hot-rolling production line for seamless steel pipes. Danieley SDM sawing lines: The two Danieley SDM sawing lines ordered by Henggang Steel will serve as important components of the new hot continuous rolling line; they include one tube billet sawing line equipped with two vertical saws, and one tube array sawing line. Both sawing lines will be seamlessly integrated with Danelli’s FQM™ double-sided six-stand three-roller continuous rolling mill line; each line is equipped with an SDM vertical sawing unit, a high-precision length-sawing system, a dedicated hydraulic station, and a fully automatic material discharge device. The automation and end-to-end process control system for the project will be provided by Danfoss Automation, ensuring efficient and intelligent production processes. These two production lines are expected to come online in 2026. The world’s largest hot-rolling production line for seamless steel pipes. The products manufactured by this line have diameters ranging from Φ323.8 to 610 mm and wall thicknesses of 7.2 to 65 mm. It is primarily used to produce oil casing, pipelines for oil and gas transportation, submarine pipelines, pipes for new energy applications, pipes for mechanical and structural use, gas cylinder tubes, thermal pipeline systems, medium and high-pressure boiler tubes, as well as high-end industrial pipes. The products are widely used in the energy, infrastructure, and high-end manufacturing sectors, fully meeting the market’s diverse demands for large-diameter, high-performance seamless steel pipes. This partnership will help Hengsteel further solidify its leading position in the seamless steel pipe industry in China and around the world, while providing high-quality large-diameter steel pipes for the Chinese market.
