Some pressure relief valves have a hole for connecting to a safety valve. Under what circumstances is this type of pressure relief valve needed? Do all special gases need to be used?
I have been involved with pressure relief valves and safety valves to some extent. The pressure reducing valve and the safety valve are used together; originally, this design was adopted because the system required extremely high pressure stability in that process section. Once the pressure behind the pressure reducing valve becomes too high, the safety valve comes into action, thereby helping to maintain stable pressure in the subsequent pipelines. Special gases should not require such a design, as the safety valve allows for direct venting; some special gases cannot be released into the atmosphere. I believe the design mentioned above should be applicable to the voltage stabilization section of the system; I haven’t dealt with this specifically myself. I hope the original poster will continue to share some practical examples so that we can discuss them together. Follow.
During actual installation, if there is such a hole on the pressure relief valve, what is the common practice? Do people connect a safety valve to it to allow air to be released? Or should we block this hole if the process requirements are not high?
