Have you all heard of PVC continuous polymerization plants?

Why can’t PVC be polymerized continuously? Isn’t it a good idea to install a separation device at the bottom of the polymerization reactor, so as to separate out the large PVC particles while adding VCM monomer at the same time?
It’s hard to answer this question; it’s unclear whether theory works or not. Even if it does work, it’s likely that current technology isn’t advanced enough for that. I’m not sure if this is the right way to put it.
I heard that AkzoNobel has developed a semi-continuous process. Additionally, if it is to be made continuous, should a loop reactor be considered? . .

From the perspective of the polymerization properties of vinyl chloride, continuous polymerization is not suitable; firstly, the polymerization rate is fast and difficult to control, secondly, a large amount of heat is released, and thirdly, it is hard to control the molecular weight during the polymerization process. Batch operation is highly mature in the PVC process, while there are no known successful examples of continuous operation at present.
