Sublimed sulfur often appears during the purification of acid produced from pyrite

We have a pyrite-based acid production plant with a capacity of 120 Kt/a, and there has been no occurrence of sublimed sulfur since 2014. But starting this year, sublimated sulfur often appears in the purification process. This year, the residual sulfur content in the slag is better than before, with the total sulfur level being less than 0.5%. I would appreciate some advice from the experts here.
If the total sulfur content is less than 0.5%, then the burning efficiency is very high; in theory, no sublimated sulfur should be produced. In many factories, even when the residual sulfur content is 1.5%, no sublimated sulfur appears. What is the color of the slag? Take samples from the dust at the end of the electrostatic precipitator to analyze the residual sulfur content to determine its level. If it’s high, it’s still possible for sublimated sulfur to be produced; if it’s low, then this phenomenon cannot be explained
Total sulfur less than 0.5%? Our factory uses 0.8% (0.3+0.5). There is very little sublimed sulfur. Adjust the secondary air appropriately.
There is too much fine powder, which is one of the reasons.
Has the issue with sublimated sulfur been resolved?
It’s better now; there’s very little electric fog.
