The nozzle used for terminating catalytic reactions vibrates; the vibration intensifies when misting steam is in use, and it decreases when it is not in use. What could be the reason? Have you encountered similar problems?
No collision encountered; check whether the terminator contains excessive water and whether there is water hammer in the pipeline
Resonance is one aspect; Also, reinforce the support at the nozzle.
It’s confirmed that it’s not a support issue, because the vibration stops when the misting vapor is turned off
Have you put your misting steam systems into use? The misting steam is currently turned off, and the concern is that if the terminator stops working suddenly, no misting steam will be supplied in time, which could lead to clogging of the nozzles
1. Internal wear or perforation of the nozzle causes deflection or backflow. 2. Resonance occurs when the medium flow rate reaches the resonance point. Adjust the medium flow rate to be greater than or less than the flow rate at the resonance point. The resonance will disappear.
It might be due to the nozzle. Our nozzles have been in use for 8 years; we’ll replace them during the next maintenance cycle
Also, is this related to the medium used as a terminator? I had no problems when using crude gasoline, but vibration occurred after switching to diesel. Please help analyze this
It’s likely that the nozzle is clogged due to fouling, or the outlet of the steam flow channel is blocked but not completely sealed
