Does the dechlorination reactor following the feed pre-hydrogenation reactor in a continuous reforming unit participate in pre-sulfidization during its initial startup? What are the pros and cons?
The dechlorination reactor is not involved in pre-sulfidization; the hydrogenation catalyst needs to be pre-sulfidized to convert it into a sulfided metal form, in order to enhance the catalyst’s activity； And it’s not necessary for the dechlorinating agent to be involved
