In UOP adsorption separation, what areas are flushed respectively by the first flush, second flush, and third flush of the transfer valve? What roles do they play respectively? Thank you~
Here, the transfer valve has 8 inlets and outlets; there is an additional outlet for third-stage flushing
1. Use a pump to draw out the liquid in the bed below the desorbent (one flushing operation), and send it to the bed above the feed inlet (one flushing operation). 2. Flush the pipelines below the bed containing the extracted liquid with the desorbent, in order to prepare those pipelines for the extracted liquid (second flushing operation). 3. The purpose of the third flushing operation is to clean the pipelines containing the extracted liquid before feeding begins
