The efficiency of the steam evacuator silencer in this device has declined; every time fresh agent is added, it is necessary to remove the silencer in order to reduce backpressure. Otherwise, the efficiency of the evacuator drops significantly, and the speed at which the agent is added slows down greatly. I would like to replace the silencer with a new one, but the label on the old silencer is missing, so I’m not sure how to choose the right model. I seek advice from fellow sailors.
Instead of going through all this trouble, it’s better to just use earplugs – you know what they say, covering your ears while trying to steal a bell?
