Hello, experienced colleagues in the industry. I’m a newcomer and am currently preparing to learn *production operations, which naturally involves working with DCS. After two weeks of trying to get used to it, I find myself not knowing where to start???????? I hope the more experienced colleagues can offer some advice! I hope the seniors will be willing to share some of their insights! Please give us beginners some guidance; thank you! !
Start with the theory of production processes*, then move forward along the process by using the equipment and pipelines on site; after that, master the operational parameters and quality control, and subsequently learn about emergency response and other related topics
Start with the process flow, and then delve into the working principles of the relevant equipment and valves, as well as the criteria behind the design of each part of the process. Only after that can you proceed with actual operations on the machine; otherwise, operating it is prohibited. DCS is merely a tool for displaying operations; not understanding the principles of the process flow is like driving a motor vehicle without a license. It is particularly important to note that operating the machine is strictly prohibited without prior approval. Remember! ! !
DCS: driven by mechanical pumps, with heat exchange equipment and heating furnaces serving as the heat carriers, along with pipelines and control valves. The control valve serves as the control center of the DCS; it is used to achieve direct and indirect control of flow rate, liquid level, pressure, and temperature by adjusting its opening degree. The first thing that a control valve regulates is flow rate; from the flow rate, other controls are derived, which in turn regulate the quality parameters of production.
