We plan to install 3 boilers, each with a capacity of 300 tons. Which design institute is the best for this task? Please recommend some options
Look for boiler manufacturers; design institutes don’t design boilers, so turn to thermal engineering institutes or electrical engineering institutes for design work
There are many types of boilers, each with various uses, and different manufacturers specialize in different types. Under normal circumstances, an experienced power engineering firm or a top-tier general contractor is selected; the design firm determines the type and corresponding specifications of the boiler. The design firm and the client jointly identify potential boiler manufacturers, after which the client issues a tender to select one.

The design mainly focuses on the auxiliary systems of the boiler; the boiler itself needs to be manufactured by a specialized company. Just as you need to install a pump, the design agency only prepares layout and installation diagrams based on the information provided by the pump manufacturer – it does not design the pump itself. The boiler is, in essence, a large-scale piece of equipment. The design institute in the early stage can handle the planning of the boiler island
