For example, there are several operating conditions at the compressor inlet. It is a gradual transition from one operating condition to another. What about the surge curve of the compressor? Does it also need to change dynamically?

Aren’t all surge lines characterized by constant inlet conditions? Since the inlet conditions are different, the surge lines will certainly be different as well. If my inlet pressure and temperature gradually change to other values, then how does the surge line change to a different surge curve? Does it change smoothly, or does it shift immediately?
