In the reprocessed UOP process, the level gauge in the regeneration separation hopper experiences a decrease in level during overcast and rainy weather, as well as in winter when it snows; the level returns to normal once the rain or snow stops. This has not happened before. What’s the reason? :)
It’s not clear what type of level gauge this is. If it’s a double-flange type, check whether the pressure transfer tubes are exposed. The silicone oil inside these tubes may experience volume changes due to variations in ambient temperature. Since the lengths of the two sections of the pressure transfer tubes differ, temperature has a significant impact on the longer section, which in turn affects the accuracy of the liquid level measurement
If the amount of catalyst in the system remains unchanged, it is likely that the nuclear level gauge receiver is interfered with or that the waterproofing of the receiver at the installation site is inadequate.
The level gauges in other locations are not affected by external weather conditions
Is the catalyst dust washing normal?
Is it the rainy or windy weather that affects the insulation of the separation hopper, leading to changes in the number of particles when the nuclear level gauge penetrates the insulation? This in turn causes variations in the signals received and transmitted by the counter, resulting in fluctuations in the material level; First, check the insulation condition and seal the insulation cover with sealant; instead, use waterproof material to seal the receiver’s transmission connector.
