I have a gentle question: what is the relationship between the density of catalyst fuel and its cetane number? Is it true that the higher the density, the lower the cetane number? Thank you
The higher the density of diesel, the higher the content of aromatics and naphthenes in its composition, and therefore the lower its cetane number. A high density is actually an intuitive indication of a high content of aromatics and naphthenes in the elemental composition.

According to the formula for calculating the cetane number, it is proportional to the distillation temperatures at 10%, 50%, and 90% points, and inversely proportional to density.
A higher content of heavy components results in a higher density as well
