Dear students, is it okay to operate transformers of different capacities in parallel? The output is connected in parallel to one bus bar. I’m seeking advice from experts; it would be best if someone has practical experience in this area.
As long as the three conditions for parallel operation of transformers are met, there will be no problem. We have used the 6300 and the 3150; they both operate normally. The operating current of the 3150 is half that of the 6300
The voltage ratio is definitely fine – it’s 10KV/400V in both cases. The impedance voltage percentage should also be okay; just check the data. It’s the last item! If the actual wiring does not match what is indicated on the nameplate, how can it be detected?
The maximum capacity ratio of parallel transformers must not exceed 3:1

The wiring groups are the same ; 3. The percentage of short-circuit impedance voltage is approximately the same ; 4. The capacity ratio shall not exceed 3:1. Phase alignment is also required for the first parallel connection
Combining 1000 and 1600 – I’ve never done this before, so I’m not sure what to expect! How can one determine whether this wiring group is the same or different?
It is best not to connect in parallel; use a connection cabinet instead
