Subsequently, Mr. Xiang asked his friend who works in engineering, and that friend told him that a situation like mineral water bottles appearing in the load-bearing beams is completely avoidable. Even if it isn’t detected during construction, it should be removed and filled in promptly once it is noticed during later stages of construction. However, instead of removing the bottle, this construction company buried it, which made Mr. Xiang feel that this was purely an irresponsible attitude. So Mr. Xiang put forward his requirements to the developer, stating that he needed a certificate issued jointly by the quality inspection agency, the design institute, and other relevant authorities, proving that there were no safety hazards associated with that roof beam. However, both the developer and the builder of the community stated that this plastic bottle has no impact on the house, believing that Mr. Xiang is making a big deal out of nothing. Someone was then sent to remove the plastic bottle from Mr. Xiang’s house. The developer’s explanation is also quite simple: it’s likely that it was hot during construction, and the workers simply threw the mineral water bottles down, which led to this situation. Moreover, this water bottle is located at the bottom of the beam, so it will have no impact on the house at all. The developer also said that the people from the design firm had checked it and found no problems; only minor repairs were needed here, followed by filling in the empty areas. The engineering party stated that they have already assigned a design firm to develop a repair plan for the building’s load-bearing beams. Actually, this matter is more about an attitude issue; the developer’s response after water bottles were found inside the load-bearing beams was far too perfunctory. It’s just saying that there is no impact; whether there is an impact or not, but it’s clearly a way of avoiding responsibility. After all, it’s a problem with the house itself, so the developer should take active steps to resolve it. First of all, it’s impossible for this bottle to have been pumped up from a pump truck; such a large foreign object would be filtered out.
