So far, the middle-line project has replenished a total of 5.9 billion cubic meters of ecological water to 48 rivers in the north, of which 3.789 billion cubic meters have been replenished in the river sections under comprehensive control of groundwater overexploitation in North China. The total water replenishment volume of the middle line main canal reached 114 million cubic meters. This water replenishment will help the ecological environment of Hutuo River, Buhe River and Nanjuma River continue to improve, and the Ziya River, Ziya Xin River and other rivers that have stopped flowing will regain their vitality. Compared with before water replenishment in 2018, the groundwater level within 10 kilometers on both sides of the Hutuo River has risen by 0.54 meters. The good water environment has brought about ecological changes. The vast water surface of the Hutuo River effectively regulates the temperature and humidity on both sides of the river. The temperature is adjusted to about 4°C and the humidity is adjusted to more than 20%. The ecological replenishment effect is obvious. Shijiazhuang City has launched a series of projects such as the Hutuo River Comprehensive Regulation Project and the Hutuo River Ecological Restoration Project. After regulation and restoration, Shijiazhuang City has formed 2,680.54 hectares of water surface and 10,398.82 hectares of green space. △The middle line project replenishes ecological water to the Hutuo River. Due to the continuous replenishment of south water, Beijing has gradually closed its own wells in recent years and greatly reduced the extraction of groundwater.
