On July 30, at the construction site of the Shaxian Afo Silicon High-End Silica Project, a key project in Sanming City, the main structure of the project has been completed; workers are taking advantage of the good weather to speed up the decoration of the exterior facade of the production workshop. In recent years, there has been a growing demand both domestically and internationally for intelligent and environmentally friendly production methods in silica enterprises, which has placed higher requirements on their production lines. As a leading enterprise in the silica industry within the province, Afu Silicon, a provincial-level green factory, is engaged in the research, development, production, and sales of products such as feed additives, inorganic powder fillers, and silica suitable for use in toothpaste. “Previously, silica was generally considered a project with high energy consumption and high emissions. Once our production line is put into operation, we will introduce advanced Internet of Things technology and apply cutting-edge advancements in carbon dioxide recycling to build a factory with the lowest carbon emissions in the industry. ”Huang Weiyuan, chairman of Sanming Afo Silicon Materials Co., Ltd., said that the project will utilize China’s first sodium silicate furnace operating with full-oxygen combustion, which will enable the reduction of 10,000 tons of carbon dioxide and 700 tons of sulfur dioxide per year.
