Multiple main structures of the Blue Sea New Materials project have been successfully completed 2025-08-13 Recently, significant progress was made on the high-end polyolefin new materials project of Blue Sea New Materials Co., Ltd., which is under the general contracting of Global Shanghai Company: the 1# lithium bromide refrigeration station, the metering management room at the loading/unloading station, the fire station building, as well as the heat exchange and refrigeration stations were all completed, marking a key step forward in the overall progress of the project. The 1# lithium bromide chiller station, along with the heat exchange and chiller stations, are the main components of the heat exchange system; they recover waste heat and utilize lithium bromide refrigeration technology to produce chilled water, which supplies cooling for the air conditioning systems in the entire project. As the comprehensive emergency response hub of the industrial complex, the fire station integrates functions such as fire fighting and rescue, combat readiness, training support, medical emergency care, and logistical assistance. The basic design of this liquid loading and unloading station meets the requirement to facilitate the land transport of raw materials and auxiliary materials for the 5 process units to be constructed in the initial phase of the project, as well as to enable measurement and inspection upon entry and exit from the station. Once the aforementioned facilities are completed, they will form a complete support system that provides reliable assurance for production and operations, serving as a solid backup for the entire project. Project Overview: Location of construction: Tongzhou Bay Green Chemical Industry Development Zone, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province (main port). Construction scale and main contents: The high-end polyolefin new materials project of Blue Sea New Materials Co., Ltd. is a new construction project. Ethylene is planned to be purchased externally as raw material, with the goal of producing high-end new materials. The project involves building facilities for manufacturing 200,000 tons per year of FDPE via solution process, 2×25,000 tons per year of EPDM, 2×1,000 Nm3/h of hydrogen produced through electrolysis of water, 100,000 tons per year of POE, and 100,000 tons per year of 1-hexene/1-octene. In addition, supporting infrastructure such as storage and transportation systems, plant-wide process and thermal pipelines, utility systems, auxiliary systems, service-related facilities, and projects outside the factory are also included.
