On August 25, the laying of the first subsea pipeline for the Qatar RUYA EPCI09 project, which is under the general contracting of Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd., officially commenced. The project is located in the Al-Shahin oil field, about 70 kilometers northeast of Ras Laffan in Qatar, with a maximum water depth in the area of around 70 meters. The project encompasses the project management, detailed design, procurement, construction, transportation, installation, pre-commissioning, and related tasks for 41 submarine pipelines and 9 composite submarine cables within the oil field area. On September 5, Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. announced that the first underwater pipeline for the Qatar RUYA EPCI09 project, which is under the company’s general contract, had been installed. This marks significant progress in what is currently China’s largest offshore pipeline installation project in the Middle East, and it holds great importance for further enhancing the recognition of China’s offshore engineering industry in international high-end markets.
