On October 19, it was learned from Sinopec Dagang Petrochemical Company that the xylene tower (C-204), a key piece of equipment for the technical upgrade project of the company’s continuous reforming unit, was successfully lifted recently, marking a crucial step forward in the construction of this project. The xylene tower (C-204) being lifted this time is a key equipment in the aromatic extraction unit; it plays a crucial role in separating high-purity aromatics from reformed oil. Its successful installation is of great significance for optimizing the product profile and improving economic efficiency. To ensure safe and efficient lifting, the company’s project department along with the lifting team from CPECC First Construction Company carried out thorough preparations in advance: they optimized the design of the lifting lugs to ensure even distribution of forces ; The foundation in the lifting area was treated by layered replacement and compaction to a depth of 1.6 meters, resulting in a foundation bearing capacity of 20 tons per square meter, which meets the requirements for operating a 1350-ton main crane ; Multiple rounds of joint inspections are organized to conduct a thorough check of the equipment condition, lifting gear, safety measures, etc., to ensure everything is in order. During the lifting process, the \"single-machine lifting and delivery method\" was employed: the LR11350 1350-ton crawler crane was used as the main lifting machine, while the CC2400-1 400-ton crawler crane assisted by lifting the rear part of the equipment. Through precise calculations and coordinated operations, the equipment was lifted smoothly and placed in position with accuracy. The success of this lifting operation represents another milestone in the technical renovation project of the continuous reforming unit, providing a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the project.
