In November 2022, Huisheng Engineering won the bid for the general contracting project for the construction of Phase 4 of linear alkylbenzene production at Farabi, a Saudi Arabian private owner’s facility in Yanbu. This project marked Huisheng Engineering’s first EPC project in the fine chemicals sector in the Middle East market, as well as a new breakthrough for the company in dealing with private owners in Saudi Arabia. Farabi Yanbu Chemicals Company is located on the western coast of Saudi Arabia and primarily produces chemical products such as linear alkylbenzenes and additives. The new LAB facility will enable an increase in production capacity to 120,000 MTPA. Once completed, Farabi will become the world’s largest producer of linear alkylbenzenes. This collaboration is also the first partnership between Huisheng and Farabi. During the bidding phase, Huisheng’s bidding team conducted thorough on-site investigations to gain a deep understanding of the owner’s requirements, and prepared high-quality technical solutions and implementation plans accordingly.
