The world’s tallest extrusion granulation framework at 125.5 meters for the Fujian Gulei Zhongsha PP project has been successfully completed

Recently, the extrusion granulation framework installation and equipment lifting for the Fujian Zhongsha Gulei PP project, undertaken by the Fifth Engineering Company under China National Chemical Engineering Corporation’s Tenth Fourth Construction Co., Ltd., were successfully completed. Serving as the key load-bearing structure for the granulation unit of the PP plant, this framework is assembled on the ground and lifted as a whole. It contains equipment such as a purification chamber, a product receiving chamber, and filters. With an overall height of 125.5 meters and a total weight of 1,290 tons, it sets a new record for the height of steel structural frameworks used in extrusion granulation within the global petrochemical industry. Since the launch of the labor competition themed “Writing a New Chapter in the Century-Long Labor Movement: Creating Excellence at Fujian Gulei Zhongsha PP Project” and the campaign titled “Working Hard for 120 Days to Reach the Top and Meet Annual Goals,” the Fujian Gulei Zhongsha PP project team has faced challenges head-on and made every effort to meet its targets. They managed to complete the overall installation of the extrusion granulation framework in just 30 days, 15 days ahead of the originally planned 45 days. This advance secured valuable time for the construction of the pipelines necessary for lifting heavy equipment, thus setting a new record for the speed of project development.
