Technical renovation of the protection bed in the LNG production synthesis section

In the production of LNG from coke oven gas, the gas is subjected to desulfurization before entering the synthesis section. This section is equipped with protection beds; however, after 3 years of operation, it was found that these beds were not very effective, as the total sulfur content at the outlet of the protection beds remained higher than that at the inlet. I want to remove the protection bed through technical modifications. I once communicated with Sinopec’s design team; they said their designs do not include a protection bed. I would like to ask the experts here: does anyone have a flow chart of a synthesis unit that does not incorporate equipment for a protection bed?
