Hello, esteemed seniors. We women are now 30 years old; we have degrees in college English. Since entering the LNG industry in 2016, we have been working in administrative, documentation, and secretarial roles. In recent years, we have been assigned by EPC companies or subcontractors to handle administrative tasks for clients, but our salaries have not improved. Seeing how impressive the work of male colleagues is, we have always wanted to switch to other positions within the LNG industry. However, lacking the necessary professional background, we don’t know how to do this, nor do we know which position would be more suitable or less difficult to transition into. Therefore, I turn to all the seniors here for their generous help, seeking their advice and guidance.
It depends on what position you want to take LNG involves various aspects such as process engineering, electrical systems, instrumentation, and equipment; in these areas, many components are imported or of foreign origin. Therefore, a good command of the English language is required. If you want to work in these positions, it is necessary to have a solid understanding of the relevant topics first in order to have a chance.
