Hello everyone! After flotation of potash mines, how is it possible to analyze the various components such as potassium, sodium, and magnesium contained in the concentrate? Should national standards be referenced or empirical methods used? Thank you!
If only the composition of these alkali metal and alkaline earth metal elements is to be analyzed, it is more appropriate to use acid dissolution, dilution to a certain ratio, and ion chromatography for determination. Additionally, atomic spectroscopy is also a quick method, but its accuracy is poor. For accurate determination, calcium and magnesium can be determined by complexometric titration, while potassium ions can be determined by gravimetric analysis (using sodium tetraphenylborate precipitation).
