ICP determination of lead content

When using ICP to determine lead content, is there any possibility of interference from other elements when performing direct injection analysis?
What element is it, being the same element? Why not analyze using the analytical method and instead inject the sample directly? Some samples cannot be analyzed by direct injection, such as solids and viscous liquids. ICP analysis has its specific analytical procedures; why not follow those procedures?
