In principle, the BOD meter that uses the pressure difference method has a relatively wider measurement range, and it is also more intuitive and fast; as a result, errors caused by various procedures such as dilution and incubation can be avoided. As for the dilution culture method, strict requirements are placed on the dilution ratio, as well as the cultivation temperature and conditions; therefore, if any step in this process is not carried out properly, the measurement results cannot be used as a reference.
