As the title suggests, can organic chemical substances have their organic structure destroyed through digestion, so as to meet the sample preparation requirements for ICPMS analysis? If microwave digestion is used, along with reagents such as nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide, can it be ensured that the drugs are completely digested?

The degradation method using strong oxidizing agents can completely destroy most organic compounds, but for certain special organic substances such as fluorocarbon compounds, perfluoropolymers, perfluoroethers, and some polycyclic compounds containing heteroatoms, it can be very difficult to achieve complete degradation. This requires specific analysis for each compound; there are millions of organic compounds, and without knowing their specific structures and chemical compositions, it is not possible to make generalizations.

This compound can be digested with nitric acid, but I assume that the nitrides cannot be converted into higher-valent forms; the hydrocarbon elements should be able to be converted into carbon dioxide and water without any problems. Hydrogen peroxide has insufficient oxidizing power and may not be able to degrade it completely.
Well, as you said, if it’s reduced to that extent, even if a complete reduction isn’t possible, can we still ensure that the structure of the organic compounds is damaged enough to meet the requirements for sample introduction in analytical instruments such as ICPMS?

Each analyzer has specific requirements for samples; please check the requirements for samples set by the analyzer, or those specified by the analysis method. It can be determined entirely through conditional tests whether it is possible to eliminate something; then why not conduct some such conditional tests?
The instrument requires that liquid samples contain no organic matter. Also, what does a conditional experiment refer to? Could you please explain it? Thank you!
