What does a high color intensity of maleic anhydride when heated and melted indicate?

Some maleic anhydrides have a melting temperature of 25 degrees or less, but their color intensity when melted under heating can reach 800 to 900; what impurities are responsible for this coloring? Thank you all for helping me understand

If you can’t even determine what impurities are present just by seeing the color, how is it possible for others to identify those impurities without even seeing the color? Do you think that’s feasible? Why not have the laboratory conduct an analysis for impurities? If colored impurities can already be seen with the naked eye, then they must be quite large in size – at least things like iron nails, bottle caps, broken gloves, or used plastic bags. How can the products you manufacture still be usable in such a situation?
Only those in this field understand that it’s not about visible impurities; rather, they are invisible to the naked eye and cannot be detected at room temperature.
