By cooling water, do you mean the circulating cooling water used for heat exchange, the quenching water for reactions, or the water used for spray cooling of some spherical tanks during hot seasons? In extreme cases, water previously used for quenching coke can be water with a relatively high level of contamination; in some instances, wastewater doesn’t even need to be treated at all.
