Not much. If the raw materials cannot keep up, and on top of that the energy consumption is not cost-effective. Currently, for C4 processing, only hydrogenation and alkylation are available; MTBE holds promise. The alkylation process is partly highly influenced by the source of raw materials; Sinopec plans to commission 20 such facilities in the second half of the year
