Issues regarding the Research Method Octane Number and Motor Method Octane Number for petroleum products

Dear experts: I have a question that I need advice on. It is well known that the main components used in blending gasoline for vehicles at present are: MTBE (methyl tert-butyl ether), alkylated oils, catalytic gasoline, and reformed gasoline. Why is the difference between the octane number determined by the alkylated oil method and the octane number determined by the motor method small? Is there a significant difference between the Research Octane Number and the Motor Octane Number of other blending components in gasoline (reformed gasoline, MTBE, catalytic gasoline)?

Except for the two basic standard oils, the octane ratings are higher according to the research method and lower according to the motor method, which is determined by the conditions and characteristics of the standard testing methods. Gasoline is composed of a mixture of various hydrocarbons and some hydrocarbon derivatives, and its physicochemical properties do not follow those of an ideal solution. For some components, the differences between their pure state and their state in the mixture are significant, while for others the difference is minor.
