In September 2021, the Shanxi Department of Ecology and Environment issued a approval announcement regarding the environmental impact assessment document for the 50,000 m3/h coke oven gas comprehensive utilization project carried out by Yumenkou New Energy Co., Ltd. in Hejin City. According to the public information, the 50,000 m3/h coke oven gas comprehensive utilization project in Yumenkou, Hejin City is located in the Hejin Economic and Technological Development Zone of Yuncheng City. The capacity is 100,000 tons of LNG and 100,000 tons of liquid ammonia. It mainly includes raw gas pretreatment, compression, purification, synthesis, liquefaction, and synthetic ammonia production. The total investment for the project is 500 million yuan. Project Overview: Project Name: Comprehensive Utilization Project of Coke Oven Gas with a Capacity of 50,000 Nm3/h by Hejin Yumenkou New Energy Co., Ltd. Location: Hejin City, Yuncheng City. Scope of the project: Annual production of 112,600 tons of LNG and 47,000 tons of liquid ammonia; the project covers an area of 150 mu, and it involves the construction of facilities for purifying coke oven gas, carrying out synthesis processes, liquefying LNG, as well as facilities for hydrogen storage and ammonia synthesis ; Complementary facilities include a city gas peak-shaving LNG tank farm, an ammonia liquid tank farm, and loading stations, as well as utility and auxiliary systems such as a circulating water system, water supply and drainage systems, fire protection systems, power stations and heating stations, chilled water stations, a central control room, a laboratory, power distribution systems, and flares.
