At 6:30 on January 1st, the first round-trip vehicle for the construction site was officially dispatched by the Project Department responsible for the relocation, upgrading, and transformation of Baling Petrochemical’s caprolactam production chain. This shuttle route is a 5.4-kilometer circular main road surrounding the project site, with 12 stops along the way. Two buses capable of carrying 54 passengers each depart from the east and south sides of the site respectively, traveling in opposite directions around the site. The service operates from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm daily, and all project personnel can ride for free upon presentation of valid work identification. The Baling Petrochemical Caprolactam industry chain relocation, upgrading, and transformation project is a key construction project for both Sinopec and Hunan Province. With a total investment of 13.95 billion yuan, it covers an area of 2,651 mu, equivalent to the size of 238 football fields, and its enclosed perimeter measures 5.4 kilometers in length. To address traffic issues on the site, the company has implemented an optimized solution by introducing shuttle buses for the construction area and designing convenient and efficient traffic routes to help improve the efficiency of construction work. “In the past, when we went to the construction site, we had to walk there, which was time-consuming and laborious; sometimes, routine inspections would take up most of the day. Now that there are site shuttles, travel time is reduced, which not only makes things more convenient and fast but also improves work efficiency. ”said Wu Chonghua, a technician from the construction department of the project. “It’s cold outside now, but we can take the free site shuttle to reach the construction site quickly, which makes us feel warm inside. ”Hui Junbian, a welder from Sinopec’s Fifth Construction Company, who is in charge of this project, said that as he spoke he got on the shuttle bus with his colleague Song Lu to head to the construction site at the power station. Currently, 2,864 tons of the boiler’s steel structure have been installed for this project, representing a completion rate of 46.37% ； 882 tons of air preheaters have been installed, with a completion rate of 43.88% ； 210 tons of water wall have been installed, with a completion rate of 27.52% ； 113 tons of economizers have been installed, with a completion rate of 7.59% ； 48 tons of superheaters have been installed, with a completion rate of 5.35%.
