Recently, the \"Coal-to-Hydrogen Upgrading and Modification Project along with the Associated Synthetic Ammonia Production Facility,\" constructed by Zhejiang Baling Hengyi Lactam Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Hengyi Petrochemical, has been completed and put into formal operation. This project makes use of the existing land and production facilities at Hengyi Caprolactam to invest in the construction of a production facility capable of producing 240,000 tons of ammonia per year and 30,000 standard cubic meters of hydrogen per hour. The air separation unit employs a new type of internal compression process, while the gasification unit uses a green and clean pressurized semi-boiler gasification process that recovers waste heat. The purification units utilize advanced green and recyclable processes such as isothermal shift technology, as well as a dual-purification process involving low-temperature methanol washing and liquid nitrogen washing. The ammonia synthesis unit adopts a radial synthesis process, and advanced intelligent monitoring technologies are used to ensure efficient operation, resulting in an annual production capacity of 240,000 tons of ammonia and 30,000 standard cubic meters of hydrogen per hour. The commissioning of this project will further enhance Hengyi’s advantages in integrating its upstream and downstream industrial chains, effectively strengthen the downstream aromatic compounds industry chain, boost the company’s competitive strength, and improve the overall profitability of the listed company. It will also reduce the operating costs and production costs per unit of caprolactam, enhancing the market competitiveness of caprolactam products and increasing their profits, thereby boosting overall profitability. This will solidify and strengthen Hengyi’s position as a leader in the industry, having a positive impact on business performance in the long term and enabling dual-driven development of the industrial chain. In the future, Hengyi will further strengthen and enhance the core competitiveness of its petrochemical and fiber manufacturing business, thereby driving sustainable growth in the interests of its shareholders.
