In the Rums process, hydrogen was detected in the non-condensable gases from the refrigerant tanks; the total sulfur content was 2000+. The hydrogen level decreases after those non-condensable gases are discharged, but it rises again later on. Logically, hydrogen shouldn’t be present after acid washing and passivation. Have other professionals encountered this issue? ? Is there any corrosion?
