Progress on the Shuangyashan integrated project for green methanol and green aviation fuel: Recently, the first phase of Shuangyashan’s project for producing green methanol and green aviation fuel through biological methods announced the companies that have been selected to provide overall chemical engineering services, overall design, and preliminary design work. Sinopec Ningbo Engineering Co., Ltd. won the bid with a price of 14.6 million yuan. The total investment for this project is approximately 20.8 billion yuan, of which 10 billion yuan is allocated to the first phase. Progress of the 1.6 million tons/year coal chemical project in Zhundong, Xinjiang On August 17, the Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone held the 11th coordination meeting for this key project aimed at producing olefins from coal. The meeting was held to advance work related to high-standard construction, strict safety management, and proper investment in infrastructure, in line with the arrangements made at the 10th coordination meeting as well as the goals set for the third quarter. Progress on the Tarim 1.2 million tons/year Phase II Ethylene Project On August 18, at the construction site of the full-density polyethylene unit of the Tarim 1.2 million tons/year Phase II Ethylene Project, the one-time installation of cooler B for the line 2 recycle gas marked the completion of the installation of all heavy equipment weighing over 100 tons for the 2×450,000 tons/year full-density polyethylene units under construction. This laid a solid foundation for the subsequent installation of the structural steel and process pipelines for these units.
