Lanzhou Petrochemical’s C5 hydrogenated petroleum resin was shipped by train for the first time

At 18:00 on October 15, accompanied by a long blast of the whistle, a special train loaded with 68 tons of C5 hydrogenated petroleum resin products slowly left the platform. This marked the first time that Lanzhou Petrochemical Company’s high-value self-sold products were transported beyond the limitations of traditional road transport, thus opening a new chapter in railway transportation and laying a solid foundation for improving the quality of product delivery and reducing transportation costs. C5 hydrogenated petroleum resin is a key product sold directly by Lanzhou Petrochemical. Due to limitations in automobile transportation capacity and market conditions, the export of this product faced constraints both in terms of efficiency and scale. With the successful dispatch of this special train service, the volume of goods transported per shipment is nearly double that of road transport, while transportation costs have been reduced by almost 40%. This not only improves the transportation structure but also provides efficient logistics support for Lanzhou Petrochemical to expand the domestic market for its self-produced products. The stability and safety of rail transport ensure product quality, guarantee that customers receive high-quality products promptly, and enhance their confidence in deliveries. Going forward, Lanzhou Petrochemical will adopt a regular train shipping model to further expand its product coverage in the East China market and increase its market share.
