For hydrogen centrifugal compressors that are in a hot standby state after shutdown, with the inlet and outlet valves closed, is it necessary to relieve pressure from the compressor housing? Can the crank system be used to turn the drum while the centrifuge is running?
Can the crankshaft rotation system be used to rotate the crankshaft while the centrifuge is under pressure?
The pressure you’re referring to is gauge pressure; in fact, when the unit is shut down, there is basically no pressure difference from the inlet to the outlet. Turning the shaft? Of course it can!
