The wear of the piston rings in a reciprocating compressor is probably the ultimate level of usage one can achieve. Have you ever seen piston rings worn to this extent?
This is not the highest level. It’s likely that the guide ring is damaged, and the cylinder wall is more severely damaged; debris has caused collision with the cylinder. This is the ultimate goal; P should use this as an opportunity to establish or revise the maintenance specifications anew. For reference.
Has the runtime check time exceeded? Did the cylinder get scratched? The compression issue is way too severe
At the highest level, it’s three good years, three bad years, and another three years of repairs!
