Hello, everyone from CNOOC. There is a rectangular device on site, with dimensions of 11x7x5 meters in length, width, and height respectively; the medium used is water. During on-site installation, there are 11 pre-embedded steel plates on the surface of the equipment foundation; however, the levelness of this surface is poor. How should static equipment like this be installed – by using shims to level it out, by grouting, or by placing the equipment directly on the foundation? Thank you all.
I think fine sand should be piled on the foundation first, and then the equipment should be installed. Fine sand can adjust the level of the foundation
Equipment at normal pressure can be placed on it, but fine sand is needed to level it
Both of them mentioned using fine sand for leveling; they must be experienced in this area. Are there any standards or regulations that mention such a practice?

Since there are 11 base pads, their purpose is to provide support; therefore, steel plates are added on top of these pads to level the surface. The steel plates added later are welded firmly to the original base pads, and then the equipment is installed.
