On the sealing ring of jacketed heads and its thickness calculation

Regarding jacketed vessels whose head section also has a jacket, GB150.3-2011, Appendix D, Figure D.24 provides a formula for the thickness of the sealing ring and the maximum allowable jacket gap. I have a few questions: 1. Does the sealing ring referred to here mean the entire sealing ring, or rather the arc-shaped or straight plate located between the jacket sleeve body or jacket head and the inner cylinder body? May I ask whether the small sealing rings on the cylinder or head (Figures 1 and 3) also need to meet the requirements specified in D23 or D24? If not, which standard should be used to determine their thickness? 2. Regarding Note 3 in Figure 24, how should it be understood? Why does the head section have a jacket, and is the thickness of the sealing element calculated using the formula in Figure D24? It seems that the thickness indicated in Note 3 of Figure 24 is much greater than that calculated in Figure 23. Does the sealing element at this point still refer to the arc-shaped plate or straight ring plate of the clamping sleeve body and the inner sleeve body? Why is the part with a cover much thicker? The shape of the closure hasn’t changed; it hasn’t turned into a complete flat lid. 3. As stated in Note 2 of Figure 23, abcd applies only to the jacket of the cylindrical section; then, can the sealing element on the head (in the second figure) also use this structure and the formula in Note 3 of Figure 24?
It is recommended to take a look at: A Concise Design Manual for Chemical Process Vessels and Equipment. It is clearly stated that the diagrams you draw should not use the legend from GB150.
Why is the thickness much greater for those with end caps? Because the jacket sealing ring with a head does not provide any supporting force for the sealing ring on the inner cylinder, it must be thicker than a jacket sealing ring mounted solely on the cylinder body.
