I would like to ask the experts: According to GB/T151, it is allowed for the split diaphragm to be below the flange sealing surface, as long as the difference remains within 0.5 mm. If I control this difference at 0.3 mm, can I ignore the cross-sectional area of the split diaphragm when performing calculations?
The cross-sectional area of the partition is used to calculate the reaction force; with gaskets in place, it is necessary to ensure sealing in order to maintain a tight fit and prevent leaks, which in turn generates a reaction force, thus requiring consideration of the area.
Regarding the situation described by the original poster, I personally think there is no need to consider the cross-sectional area of the partition.
