This is a reboiler. On the material list, the tube bundle is made of 2.11 stainless steel, but after being used on site for a while and opened, it has two layers. The outer layer is very thin stainless steel, and I don’t know what the inner layer is. I contacted the manufacturer, who said it would definitely not be a composite pipe because the cost is higher, but they couldn't explain it clearly or they deliberately hid it from me.

It should be a problem with the quality of the tube, and the manufacturer would not make such a fake (the cost would be too high). The manufacturer should be responsible for the quality of the materials purchased and allow the manufacturer to perform repairs.
They must have cut corners and asked the manufacturer to replace it with a new one. :funk:

One is to measure the pipe wall thickness with an ultrasonic thickness gauge. If there is delamination, find it immediately ; Second, T2T welding needs to be mock-up first. Any problems with the pipe can be discovered when cutting them. 2: The heat exchanger tube wt2.11 is thin-walled and must be mock-up. Most of the welds failed to cover the pipe wall thickness, and T2T welding was unsupervised. If you want good quality, you must have good regulatory measures. There is no such thing as a businessman in the world who is not ruthless. Relying on the self-discipline of enterprises and workers has a long way to go. Take it as a lesson. If there are hazardous chemicals in the owner's premises, this management method is not a good thing for the employees. Having said that, the quality problem of the original poster is a material problem.
