According to the standard GB/T 713 for Q345R steel, there are no specific requirements regarding normalizing. However, when using Q345R steel to manufacture equipment, its high heat resistance and pressure resistance mean that normalizing is generally employed as the heat treatment process to enhance its durability and service life. At the same time, during the actual production process, it is also necessary to follow the relevant process specifications and operational standards in order to ensure the quality and safety of the equipment manufactured. .
Clause 4.1.4 of GB/T150.2 specifies only three conditions under which plates shall be supplied in the normalized state; there is no requirement to supply them in this state due to the high toxicity of the medium； Section 5.2.2 of HG/T20581 also does not stipulate that medium-high toxicity media require delivery in the normalized state ；
There is a normalizing requirement only in terms of thickness
It is best to use normalizing plates; this is the minimum requirement.

Apart from the thickness requirements, if there are no conditions that could lead to cracking, such as stress corrosion or low temperatures, normalizing is not necessary.
