Plate heat exchangers and high-temperature air mixing boxes

Dear experts, I would like to ask whether it is possible to use a mixing box instead of a heat exchanger for heat exchange – one stream has an air flow rate of 5000 m3/h at 130°C, while the other stream has an air flow rate of 650 m3/h at 800°C.
It is used for wheel desorption; I’ve seen it before, but there are certain risks associated with it
