Reasons for the belt drifting on the conveyor drum

A belt conveyor is composed of many component systems, and only when these components function properly at the same time can the entire belt conveyor operate correctly. The belt on a belt conveyor sometimes deviates from its path on the drums. What causes this? (1) The center line of the conveyor drums is not perpendicular to the center line of the belt; (2) The diameters of the conveyor drums are not uniform. In practice, for the first cause of deviation, it can be addressed by adjusting the center line of the drum so that it is not aligned with the center line of the conveyor; as for the second cause of deviation, it can be resolved by regularly removing coal buildup from the drum and using appropriate manufacturing processes for the drum. Drums are generally divided into drive drums and redirecting drums. The drive drum is the main component for power transmission; it comes in rubber-coated and smooth surfaces, with rubber-coated drums further divided into cast rubber and coated rubber types. The direction-changing drum is used to change the operating direction of the conveyor belt, or to increase the wrap angle between the conveyor belt and the drive drum.
